I have been homeless for over a year and a half, as well as my entire pregnancy. My son was born premature and struggled to gain weight in the beginning. Although I am a medical assistant, the healthcare field has not been kind during my time being homeless. I was stressed, afraid, and cranky when we were first brought to Danville. Laura sat and patiently listened to me; she loved on my son and organized the nurses to prepare a love basket for us. She is the reason that I am returning to the medical field.
