D arrived in ER and was very sick with stage 4 liver cancer. We were completely unaware that his last days would be spent on the second floor at United Hospital. Our nurse Laura was the most caring and compassionate person. She was informative whenever the family had a question and at times there were many of us. She remained professional and respectful to us all. The attention and care she gave to D were top notch and I was always confident that he was being given the best care possible. She truly made a difference for our family during the 48 hours that we were with her. We appreciate you, Laura! We wish D’s outcome had been different but we are happy you were his nurse.
