Facing Stage Four Lung Cancer made the experience daunting, but Laura's professionalism and empathy shone brightly. Laura’s bedside manner was exemplary, immediately putting me at ease with her personable and relatable approach. What truly distinguishes Laura is her meticulous attention to detail and genuine kindness. Rarely have I encountered such thoughtfulness and consideration in healthcare, especially in my experiences back home in Mississippi. 

A few months ago, late at the end of the day, we had a patient with a nephrostomy catheter and we needed a clean urine sample from the nephrostomy. After waiting at the lab for more than an hour the patient was unable to provide a sufficient amount of urine. The patient contacted our clinic on the 3rd floor in exasperation. Laura was able to reach the ordering provider, made several phone calls, and facilitated the patient going the next day, which was a Saturday, to the lab on the main campus. The patient was satisfied with that solution. She's very knowledgeable, and if she doesn't know the answer right away, she'll not hesitate to find out.
