October 2023 Honoree
Laura (Lori) Tobin, BSN, RN-BC, CRNI, OCN, VA-BC
When our oncologist first told me I had 16 weeks of chemo ahead of me, my first thought was, “How the hell am I going to get through this? Add in my crappy veins, and it was a recipe for disaster. Then, I met Lori, and we worked through IV Challenges. I owe so much of my success and calmness during chemo to Lori. She was so incredibly skilled, and on top of that, she would hustle. In addition, Lori is so very thoughtful and kind. Each time I was there, Lori would go out of her way to make me comfortable by holding the small rooms for my husband and me and having everything ready to roll for us when we got there. I want Lori to know how much I appreciate her. While chemo sucks, knowing I was in your care made all the difference and put me at ease in your capable hands.
Thank you, Laura (Lori), for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
