My husband came into the ER  with chest pain, SOB, and stem. Laura Roes was called in to take him to the cath lab. As she and her nurse co-worker, wheeled him down the hall to the cath lab, he went into v-fib. She immediately stopped, shocked him, and performed CPR. This nurse went above and beyond, acting, not even wasting a second to save my husband. I was told later; that he was shocked six times in total before and during the cardiac catheterization and 2 stent placements. Laura deserves The DAISY Award because of how professional and quick her heroic actions saved my husband’s life. He was able to come home two days before Christmas and spend it with all of us because of her. She is a nurse angel in our book. Her actions will never be forgotten.
