Laura shows Integrity every day to the Veterans. The Veterans come to the clinic and ask for her by name. She has developed a good, professional and mindful relationship with all of her patients.
Commitment: Laura goes above and beyond every day. She is flexible to the care for Veterans. If a Veteran walks in without an appointment she is very accommodating and will make room in the schedule for them.
Advocacy: Laura helps with transitioning Veterans to the community, for example when oncology was shut down due to no provider, the Veterans had a trying time when they had to switch their oncology are, Laura was very supportive and empathetic.
Respect: Laura treats everyone (Veterans and staff) with respect. She is an excellent preceptor and respects your level of knowledge and is willing to teach you without judgment.
Excellence: Laura helps the Veteran navigate their way through the Choice Program. She is always looking for ways to improve her unit and keeps up on her education to provide the Veterans with excellent care.
Laura is an exemplary example of the VA mission.
