I see Laura every two weeks to have my blood work and infusion. Over the past 8 months, she has been so pleasant and encouraging. She not only takes an interest in me as a patient but also as a person. She always greets me with a warm welcome and smile. I look forward to seeing her. If I have questions or concerns, she will do her best to get me answers. All the ladies in the Clinical Research Unit are so special. Love the way they greet everyone with a smile. They do a great job of backing each other up which means a lot when the IV machine is beeping! They seem to truly enjoy each other and that shows by the way they work as a team! You are blessed to have all of these ladies working for you.
Nurses are so important in the whole journey of fighting cancer. In the 34 years that I have been doing battle off and on I found that it is the nurses who give the most positive influence. The doctors know how to treat the disease but the nurses know how to "treat" the patient and that means so much!
