Mom was a new ostomy patient and was afraid of her ostomy and refused to care for it. Laura sensed it right away with no prompting from the family. She approached mom sweetly but practically and convinced her that the two of them would do it. She was amazing with the education and had mom participate to dissipate the fear. She came home and emptied her bag by herself. Huge, Huge victory! Emotional healing. Thank you!
