Laura Patterson, RN from Cole Memorial's Maternity Unit, received the award nomination from a patient she cared for who required an emergency transfer to another healthcare organization. Laura volunteered to ride with the patient in the ambulance to keep her calm and assist during transport. After a three-hour round trip, Laura returned to work and called the patient to be sure she was fine.
