Laura Perales has been an essential part of this clinic for over two years, consistently exceeding standard responsibilities. She is deeply dedicated to ensuring that her patients, providers, and colleagues receive the highest level of care and support. Laura’s commitment is evident in her actions—she often skips lunch, stays late, and even works from home in the evenings to meet the needs of the providers and the team. In addition to her patient care responsibilities, Laura takes the initiative to train staff, ensure supplies are ordered, and oversee that procedures are executed flawlessly. Over the past year and a half, I have not seen a single day when she hasn’t gone the extra mile to support her patients, providers, or team members. Despite working through a staffing deficit for over a year and navigating the challenges of a completely new management team, Laura has been the glue that holds our unit together. Her tireless efforts to improve and sustain the quality of our clinic have been nothing short of inspiring. She never complains, no matter how difficult the circumstances, and her selflessness and dedication have been key to rebuilding our unit.
