K has been a patient here for 20 months. He has been in the NICU, TCU, and PICU. We have never met a nurse like Laura. She is kind, loving, genuine, knowledgeable, and amazing. As a parent with a child who has been inpatient this long, you do not get a lot of the "normal" milestones and experiences. Laura heard that we were trying to find someone to give K his first haircut and were striking out. Without hesitation, she said, "I am sure my cousin would love to do it." She set everything up and we finally got his first haircut, which was an amazing memory for us that we will never forget. I could go on and on about all the ways she is not only an amazing nurse but just a beautiful person.
