Laura Pujol is one of the wonderful faces of the Oncology unit at Summerlin Hospital. She is an instrumental part in building the new Oncology unit. Her expertise in Oncology serves her unit as well has her patients. She is always willing to contribute ideas to benefit the patient's experience. She brings her passion and love for patients to the heart of everything she does. A patient recently sent in a letter to honor Laura. In the letter he stated:


"Even though treatments and medications are what make you well, there is another cure that I feel also helps - it is just a simple SMILE and positive attitude from the hospital staff, which I received. I have also found if I smile and have a positive attitude it is contagious and makes it easy for your staff to return the same. I want to give a special thanks to Laura Pujol. She went way out of her way to explain my medication, printed out information about them. Nurses like her are special and a real asset to your hospital."


Another patient wrote, "I want to compliment Laura Pujol for all she has done for my wife and me. Since my wife was hospitalized at Summerlin, she has responded to all our requests for services and information in a very friendly and professional fashion. Laura has done an outstanding job in caring for us. I want you to know she has performed her job admirably!! Laura is truly an asset to this hospital and we want to thank her for her outstanding care she has provided my wife and family."
