Laura Salazar, RN, was nominated for the DAISY Award by a parent of twins who were in the NICU at Huntington Hospital. Laura is showing her love to the babies on top of her extraordinary nursing skills. She is aware of ALL babies instead of only the babies she got assigned. It is so important that she focuses on babies instead of charting during the shift; she even gave up her break and lunch hours if baby’s conditions are critical. She is such an outstanding nurse!
