Although I am a Physical Therapist, my husband (a retired welder) doesn't have a medical knowledge/terminology. Laura has taken extra time to explain everything to him and listen to ensure he understands. He suffers from early dementia. Laura has gone well beyond the call of duty with patience and compassion. Gently speaking to him bringing him back to the present reality. Not only is she patient with his dementia, but also is a helpful support for me. Although the census is high; she always has my husband feel that he is her only patient. Laura (understands my background) has been open and accepting of my concerns. Having worked at UCDMC NSICU, she took seriously my input of the signs of a possible stroke. Laura is proficient as an RN, compassionate, kind, supportive, and takes the time to educate her patients.
She is a DAISY I would be proud to have in my garden beside a painted rock that says, "Leave room in your garden for angels to dance". May she always dance!
