She spent time teaching us and pays attention to detail. She responds quickly to our needs. She is very compassionate and made us feel as if we were the most important patient/family she had. Laura Serreno Rivera shows exceptional attention to detail and anything we asked about or needed, she did not forget to get back to us with answers and whatever we requested.
My husband had to have emergent surgery and due to COVID-19, I was unable to see him while he was in the ICU. Those first two days were very stressful for me. I am a nurse but it is different when it is your loved one. Laura respected my knowledge but at the same time offered the same education that all patients get. She did so in a patient and loving manner. She clearly understood my emotional state. For all of this, I will be eternally grateful to Laura. The last night that we had Laura I listened to her give report to the next shift. She was detailed and covered everything. It made us feel so well cared for. She remembered small details about my husband's preferences and accomplishments of the day. You just don't see that level of nursing excellence very often.
Comes when needed. Offers good advice. Is willing to try new things. Very pleasant and compassionate. Very concerned about my comfort. Always kept me up on what was going to happen. Easy to talk to. Extremely friendly. I wish she was my daughter.
