Laura comes to work each afternoon with a smile on her face no matter what the patient presents with. She makes the patients feel heard and important.
We have many mental health patients in the ED. She continually makes appropriate referrals for the patient's needs while managing the other patients in the ED.
While working with several patients at one time and as a charge nurse, she strives to meet their needs, make referral calls, work with providers and also answers to the other staff on duty without complaint.
She ensures that each person is acknowledged for their emergency and isn't afraid to ask additional questions to providers or ED staff to get their needs met.
