Laurel always reassured me and me feel like a good mom even though I couldn't always be there overnight, and I was lucky enough to see her overnight before we went home.
Our daughter was a micro-preemie and spent 3 months in the hospital between the NICU and ICC. Laurel signed up to be a primary for our daughter shortly after we arrived in the ICC. She works overnight, and because our daughter was in the hospital for so long, I wasn't able to stay with her all the time, which was really hard on me. When I would call in the night to check on her, Laurel was so friendly and upbeat, would give me a detailed report and tell me all about all of her sweet little "quirks" she would do overnight. Laurel would snuggle her if she was sad and talk and play with her when she was awake, and when I returned in the morning she was a very happy baby.

Laurel always reassured me and me feel like a good mom even though I couldn't always be there overnight, and I was lucky enough to see her overnight before we went home. The way she interacted with our daughter was outstanding; every time Laurel would talk to her she would light up. A couple of weeks ago we had to return for one final surgery and Laurel was immediately by to see how our daughter was doing. She even stepped in at two points during our stay when her IVs blew out to restart new ones even though she wasn't her assigned nurse, and because of this our daughter handled both occurrences with ease because she was happily distracted with cooing and listening to Laurel. Laurel is one-of-a-kind, she put my husband and I at so much ease during these difficult times. We are so grateful for expertise and warm, loving personality
