I was admitted to labor & delivery for a retained placenta after a late miscarriage at home. Lauren was my nurse when I arrived that night. She was so thoughtful; I overheard her talking to someone else about trying to pick a room that didn't have newborn things in it. She was cheerful but also sensitive. She was very quick and eager to help when I had questions or requests, and she was encouraging as I was waiting to deliver the placenta and nervous about potential complications. I am thankful for her cheerful, helpful attitude during a hard time.
