I wanted to let you know what an exceptional employee you have in Lauren. She and I have worked now two difficult behavioral health cases together, and she was the best communicator, kept her cool when a family was difficult, understood the barriers and helped me work through them, and made two very emotional and difficult situations bearable. Lauren never seemed too busy to help the patient or me when I know she had multiple things going on at once. She showed such great compassion to these very young patients experiencing depression and suicidal thoughts, never passing judgment and helping them feel safe. When one of the facilities asked to get a current assessment if the patient still had suicidal thoughts, she did not hesitate when I asked her to go in together to speak with the patient, and she got down on the patient's level and allowed her to speak freely in a safe place, and truly showed her how much we cared. I truly believe Lauren was an angel to that patient and she is an example to others on exceeding in our service standards and mission statement.
