Lauren Bostick 2, RN

I was walking down the hall and was drawn to music that I heard playing in a patient's room. Upon entry to the room, I found the RN Lauren, dancing with her patient to classical music. This patient had violated his chair check multiple times throughout the day and was on video monitoring for safety. It was obvious that he needed to get out some of his energy.

Rather than Lauren walking in the room and reminding him to sit back down, she turned on the music for him and asked if he would join her in a dance. His eyes lit up as he serenaded her and spun her around the room. Lauren demonstrated true compassion for her patient, and clearly made a difference in the care provided.
