Lauren and my doctor moved mountains to get me seen by a neurologist, as well as receive physical and speech therapy ASAP.
I began experiencing symptoms that eventually led to GBS. Lauren Bradt was proactive in telling me that I should go to the ER and what tests I should get completed due to numbness and tingling in all extremities, which was accompanied by severe headaches.
What was impressive was her follow-up after my discharge. I received a call from LaurenĀ first thing in the morning before I had a chance to call their office. She gave me instructions to go back to the ER if my symptoms got worse, since it was a Friday heading into the weekend. Well, my symptoms got worse; I returned to the ER, and I was admitted.
The following Monday, guess whom I heard from first thing in the morning while I was in the hospital: Lauren. At this point she didn't know I was in the hospital being treated for GBS, she was just following up from the previous Friday to see if my symptoms had improved.
I was hospitalized for eleven days. Lauren checked in with me at least one more time during my stay and made sure I had an appointment with my doctor upon my release.
I was released, and I remember going to my follow-up appointment looking disheveled, half incapacitated, barely able to walk, and incapable of forming coherent sentences due to Bell's palsy. Who was the first person to greet me with a hug after I checked in for my appointment? Lauren.
Thereafter, Lauren and my doctor moved mountains to get me seen by a neurologist, as well as receive physical and speech therapy ASAP.
The office, and in particular Lauren, my doctor, and the medical assistant, consistently execute their craft with the professionalism, competency, skill, care, compassion, and timeliness that should be exemplary across the industry.
