Lauren Denton, RN
A patient's husband called Intermediate ICU the morning after his wife's death, as he wanted to make sure Lauren was recognized for going above and beyond. He stated she was extremely attentive and sensitive to the family's needs. She was the first one during the patient's hospital stay to provide a thorough explanation of the patient's condition and asked the patient and family what their wishes were when given her change in condition. Lauren was able to facilitate granting patient and family wishes of comfort care that led to the peaceful passing of his wife. The family appreciates Lauren's compassionate care and consistently being a strong advocate for all of her patients.
