My husband was inpatient for almost 2 weeks. We were so fortunate to have Lauren as our nurse. As a nurse myself I always appreciate the nurses that go the extra mile. Lauren went more than an extra mile. She worked with us to set therapeutic and empowering goals. She worked doggedly with our care team to find ways to optimize my husband's health. She showed intellectual prowess when she pointed out better strategies for keeping my husband well hydrated. I heard her doing this for all of her patients. Her example sets a very high standard for all our nurses. She inspires me to do better, myself as a nurse. Lauren - thank you for demonstrating the truest and deepest definition of nursing.
