I would like to recognize Lauren Edgar for her above and beyond efforts during our COVID-19 Pandemic crisis. From early on, having been "loaned" to us by the VHS Education Training Center, she orchestrated all clinical education related to COVID. As we know all too well, the information from the CDC and other sources was changing rapidly in the early months. She continuously provided updates via flyers, LMS modules, rounding, attending huddles, and presenting to Clinical Supervisors in Power Hour.
Recently she was asked to assist with the formation of COVID Vaccination clinics for SHMC. She not only assisted, but she also developed the entire schedule, as well as coordinated the vaccinators' schedules, worked with FAN's for snacks as well as collaborated with both Pharmacy and Registration to ensure a totally seamless program for every staff member interested in receiving the vaccination; to date over 1,600 people have been successfully vaccinated due to her efforts! Lauren consistently goes above and beyond and in a positive manner! We wish we could clone her!
