My mother was life-flighted to Pres ICU following a severe complication from Covid. Lauren was the nurse on duty for my mom's first 3 nights with her preceptee and they provided exceptional care. I called Lauren several times throughout the initial nights as my mom was critically ill and each phone call put me at ease and allowed me and my father a few precious hours of sleep so that we could survive an incredibly difficult time. Lauren was the first person my mom saw as she woke up in the ICU, and while my mom was unsedated and awake for several days on a ventilator, but her choice, Lauren was kind, thorough, and patient with her.
