I brought my 11-year-old son into the ER because he had pain in his side. I informed Lauren that my son has autism and would require time to process each procedure. Lauren, and everyone on staff, made sure to explain each step before she did it. She even took the time to explain the x-ray and scan procedure. She eased his nerves and made him feel safe. I'm very pleased with her care. It means a great deal to parents of children with special needs that someone actually cares and they are special and important to the staff.
