Lauren Gamble is an extraordinary nurse. Lauren's compassionate nursing care for her patients and their families is evident in the many patient comments, thank you notes and letters of recognition received. She tirelessly advocates for her patients and their families through it all. Her nominator and manager described a specific occurrence in the infusion room at Mallard Creek where Lauren recognized her patient's worsening condition. Lauren immediately relayed her assessment to the patient's MD. This resulted in the patient receiving evaluation and treatment in the ED for a medical emergency. Because of Lauren, an adverse event in the clinic, or worse at the patient's home, was avoided.
