My mother was a patient on N2S for 12 days, until she passed. She was on Hospice/comfort measures only. The last night of her life was very difficult and she was on a morphine pump which I, her daughter, was controlling since she was mostly non-responsive. Lauren was her nurse and she provided extremely attentive care to my mother. She came into the room at least every 15 min and would observe my mother's breathing, check her pulse, look at her legs and feet, and would answer all my questions about the dying process and the morphine pump. She was a great listener, comforter, caregiver for end of life, and had tons of compassion. Without her kind, compassionate, caregiving that extremely tough night, my mother and I would have been lonely. Before my mother lost consciousness, Lauren would come and say "x, are you comfortable?" and mother would shake her head yes. I am extremely thankful that my mother had such a wonderful nurse the last night of her life. Lauren went above and beyond and makes a wonderful nurse for end of life care thank you, Lauren!

Thank you, Lauren, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
