My wife is in the hospital as I write this. Lauren has been my wife's nurse since coming to Banner Baywood this time. She works extra shifts. She is always very prompt at getting me information on my wife's status. She is very good at explaining procedures and medications. I am like a doting husband, always curious to know what is going on with my wife's care. Lauren is very pleasant and patient with me and is extremely caring and nurturing to my wife and her care. I learned that she used to be a teacher like my wife. Lauren reminds me of my wife and my mother too who was a Maricopa County nurse and Head School nurse. All the nurses on this stay have been good, but Lauren has exceeded all our expectations. You should be very proud to have her as an employee.

Lauren impressed me right away on her focus and her patient and family care. I could tell she loves being a nurse and caregiver and is willing to listen to family concerns. One thing I saw was when the doctor was in, she was right there to listen to what the doctor said and wanted for the patient. After the doctor left, she would take time to explain to the family and break it down where the family could understand. She is very concerned for her patient and family and goes above her duties to make sure they are comfortable. Before she leaves her shift, she always says "bye" and says you're in my prayers. She is so compassionate and caring! She gives you that positive attitude.
