Lauren Jones from Inpatient Oncology has truly lived out everything a nurse is supposed to be. My father struggles to take even the most encouraging instructions sometimes. He's an outdoorsman and always will be. He needs a lot of freedom to be the person he is. Lauren has gracefully given him this opportunity. When my father was told he needed a tube in his nose in order to control the draining of his gastric trach, it was difficult for him to accept. Lauren, as Jesus would have, met my dad's needs and in doing so, showed great love and respect. In our family's long experience with medical struggles, it has been seldom that a nurse has provided such comfort in response to our frustrations and even our failure to cooperate easily. Lauren made sure my dad knew that he still had all the freedom that every human being deserves. We are extremely grateful for her service here.
