We had a difficult placement issue with an adult family home, leaving a patient requiring constant care in the ED for 50 hours.
Lauren had this patient all day and despite the difficulties involved with her care, I witnessed Lauren taking extra time to feed, shower and walk this patient throughout the day. This patient was trying and very needy, but Lauren met this challenge with grace.
This exhibited to other nurses and techs how to go above and beyond, and I believe she made a difference in the life of this patient.
