We currently have a patient with dementia who is waiting placement at a nursing facility. On many occasions, I have seen Lauren treat this patient with respect, compassion and kindness. Lauren will bring the patient along with her to pass out medications or take time to walk with her to keep her occupied. Lauren provided the patient with a doll from the gift shop that she has not let go of during her stay here at the hospital. Never once did Lauren appear to be frustrated or annoyed with her. She showed that she is patient centered and respectful of all patients despite whatever illness they may have.
