September 2022 Honoree
Lauren "Lori" Everidge, RN
I had been in the hospital for days. She was my nurse and I asked her if I could have a clean gown and she asked me if I wanted her to change my sheets on the bed and I said please. She asked me where my hygiene things were, and I said I didn’t have any. She asked where the things like tooth bush & hair comb and stuff are that I was supposed to get when I was admitted and I told her I didn’t get any of them. She asked me when the last time my sheets had been changed and I said this was the first time they were being changed since I had been admitted. She then went way above her job description and bathed me, washed my hair, changed my sheets, and wiped my bottom. I mean she did it all. Then I wanted to leave AMA and she talked to me and helped calm me down. I think she deserves this award because no other nurse I’ve ever come to know has ever done even half of what she did, and to her, I owe her my life and I love her and am very grateful for her. Thank You!
Thank you, Lauren "Lori", for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
