Words can only faintly express my gratitude for Lauren. She is the epitome of going above and beyond not only as a nurse but as a person. She exhibited kindness every day we saw her and made a sincere effort to get to know her patient (my husband) and the family. All this while performing her "normal" nurse duties in such a diligent manner. I could tell she truly cared about perfecting her craft.

Lauren also maintained an outstanding level of communication. She would explain why certain things were being done or certain medications being given, she would always ask if we had questions or concerns, and she made sure we felt at ease with the entire process. She is truly an advocate for her patients.

In addition, Lauren made sure my husband maintained his oral care. With his jaw surgery, it made it more difficult to do this, and my husband pointed out that she was the only nurse he had that was consistent with this. He said numerous times that he trusted her the most and thought she was the best!

Lauren, thank you so much for making this experience as comfortable and bearable as it could have been. I'm aware helping to care for my husband may have been demanding at moments, but you handled it with such grace. I am truly appreciative of you. You are without a doubt one of the best nurses I ever had the pleasure of knowing.
