Lauren was my nurse on Labor and Delivery the day I had my daughter. Things did not go as planned during my delivery and it turned into a C section pretty quickly. Leading up to my c-section, Lauren was incredible. She acted quickly when my baby sustained a drop in her HR. She moved so quickly, in the middle of getting her flu shot, she ran into my room and flipped me into different positions in order to safely get my baby off of her cord. She got all help necessary into the room in such a calming manner, not making me feel stressed or in danger at all.

Lauren explained everything that was going on and made sure I was involved in my care. She reminded me to make sure I advocated for myself, but she for sure was my best advocate. When the OB told me I would need a C-section, Lauren then explained everything I could expect. I am so lucky she was in the OR with me to support me through the procedure and all the way through recovery.

Lauren really deserves to be recognized. She is an amazing nurse and I am so lucky she was assigned to me that day. I truly do not know how I could have done it without her. She truly puts her patients safety first all while building a connection with them. Thank you Lauren! We will never forget you and we will be sure to tell baby E all the trouble she caused you when she gets older!
