We met with the family multiple times to discuss the prognosis and plan for their loved one. Lauren continued to talk with the family one-on-one for hours to reassure and educate them on what was happening and why. I listened from a distance as she comforted the patient’s son. She exemplifies what a critical care nurse is and does!
