From the moment Lauren walked into my Uncle's room, she was unbelievably kind and considerate. All the nurses on this unit have been wonderful but Lauren has gone above and beyond. You can tell this isn't just a job to her. She really cares.
The night before last, she even went through the trouble of getting my Grandmother a recliner for the night. Then, this morning when he really started to decline, she came in and sat with my Aunts and was honest and upfront with them about the situation at hand, but so very loving. She hugged us all before she left this morning. No words can describe how thankful we are Lauren. Thank you for taking the time to do the little things for my family and for my Uncle; like giving him a bath this morning. Know that no matter what other families or types of families you come across from her on out, you made a difference in this one.

While in the ICU with our brother, the last couple of weeks has been heart-wrenching. Overall, nursing care has been wonderful! But we are shouting out to Lauren, who made us feel comfortable, talking with us and him about every step she took. She did this with exceptional care and understanding. She had sympathy and we were always happy when she was out nurse.

Lauren brightens everyone's days. She took such great care of uncle talking to him about everything going on with him explaining everything to us as clear as possible. She's very caring and compassionate towards everyone.

We've been in the ICU for a little over 2 weeks with our brother. The staff has been wonderful. Lauren has stood out amongst them all. She has not only taken excellent care of our brother but was also so compassionate with us and went above and beyond caring for our needs as well. I have been around the medical field for years and have never seen a young nurse so compassionate and personal with the patient as well as the family members.
Our family has stayed all night with our brother, and she made sure we were as comfortable as possible searching for a reclining chair for our Mom, gathering blankets, as well as snacks. She took time explaining in detail exactly what was going on with our brother talking to us when she did anything from turning him, mouth care, bathing him, and changing him. Lauren was an absolute blessing!
God gave us an absolute angel in our time of need; Lauren is her name!

Lauren has been one of the best nurses that I have ever come across. She has been there for us through our brother's stay here. We are a very tough family and very opinionated. Lauren stayed there and sat down to talk to us letting us know what was going on every step of the way the two nights we had her. We stayed the two nights with our brother and Lauren might as well held our hands through our heart-breaking times. I work in a nursing facility and have never seen the love, care, and support that Lauren gave our brother and family. Metro has a fantastic nurse. Don't let her get away.
