I was recently a patient on North 5. As an employee, it is or can be uncomfortable to be a patient. I can honestly say this was not at all a problem coming to our hospital. During my recovery, there was a rapid response called on my behalf. Things were moving very fast, and I was not at my best. I found that I was able to be calmed because of my nurse, Lauren O'Brien. She was confident, professional, knowledgeable and was able to lead the team in a direction that was in my best interest. It takes someone very special to be a nurse. Lauren’s compassion towards my care made a positive difference during my hospital stay. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.
