Lauren not only advocates for patient care but for our team. She is the voice of a patient who isn’t able to provide their medical needs for the best outcome.
I would like to nominate Lauren Parde for the DAISY Award. Lauren is a very dependable, dedicated and driven employee. She is flexible with her schedule to provide overall coverage on the unit dedicated to providing excellent care. She is driven, moving into a preceptor role and does a great job teaching/providing support. Lauren is now moving into a position of co-chair of UBPC to make an impact on our patient care. Lauren not only advocates for patient care but for our team. She is the voice of a patient who isn’t able to provide their medical needs for the best outcome. She is intelligent and strives to educate herself and other peers. She shows the initiative to step up to an opportunity rather than shy away. She has stepped up and helped me numerous times with skills or support in a challenging situation. Lauren is very self-confident and makes others around her strive to give 100% she “shows the way” and leads by example every shift. Youthful is a positive with Lauren bringing fresh ideas to the team. She provides positive feedback when the opportunity arises. W7S is a stronger team with Lauren spreading the smile throughout the shift.

I have watched Lauren grow into an amazing nurse. Her compassion towards her patients is unmatched. She consistently gets high praises from her patients when I do leader patient rounding. She is always willing to help coworkers and jumps right in. Recently we were involved in a code. Lauren and the PT were in the bathroom with the patient when she noticed the patient was deteriorating. They quickly got the patient back to bed and she began to assess the patient with the other nurses in the room. The code was called and Lauren started compressions when we noticed the patient didn’t have a pulse. When the code team arrived she answered all of their questions with clarity and without hesitation. She was a crucial part of the code and in helping the patient to be transferred to ICU.
