May 2025 Honoree
Lauren Persic, BSN, RN
What can I say? Last year in May, I was hospitalized with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma and lost my spouse to colorectal cancer just a few months earlier. To be honest, there was no reason to continue on it felt like, but Lauren not only offered exceptional care but also offered insight. A year later, I am hospitalized for high blood sugar and have been in remission since my last stay. I never could forget Lauren and all of the help she offered.
I am lucky to have been blessed to have her as my nurse again. To say that this brightened my spirits would be an understatement. But I was happy to show her how far I had come, and she was definitely part of that journey. Lauren, I am forever grateful and am glad that there is someone like you caring for us. I pray you are forever blessed because you are definitely an angel.

Thank you, Lauren, for your exceptional compassion, advocacy, and dedication to your patients. You truly make a difference.
