May 2025 Honoree
Lauren Quigley, RN
We came to the Children's ED when our daughter had a high temperature, tachycardia, and general lethargy. We were pretty scared considering her vital signs and symptoms. Lauren came into the room and immediately put us at ease.
Our daughter has always had a hard time with needles, and Lauren was so patient when starting her IV. She went out of her way to make our daughter comfortable during the procedure. Afterwards, our daughter complimented her that it was the best stick she'd ever experienced, as she has had frequent labs due to a medical condition. Lauren was in our room immediately any time the pump went off and exhibited immense professionalism.
We were so thankful to have someone like Lauren in our corner when we were unsure of what was happening. I teach undergraduate nursing students, and Lauren is a prime example of someone I would want to see if my child or I were sick. She is truly a special nurse and displays so much patience and professionalism.
