As a family member of a patient whom Lauren recently treated, I am writing to nominate and highly recommend her for this prestigious award. I am so grateful for the care that she provided to my loved one. Lauren is an exceptional nurse, and we were floored that she is a recent graduate. She is so compassionate, skilled, and dedicated to her patients. She took the time to get to know my loved one and our family; she always went above and beyond to make them feel comfortable and cared for. She was so kind and made us feel comfortable with everything that was going on. She took the time to sit down and talk us through some of the processes during my loved one’s end-of-life moments. The process was daunting and terrifying to us and Lauren made everything so calm and easy for all of us, I couldn't imagine going through that process with anyone else. I am so very indebted to her. Thank you! Thank you! From the bottom of my heart for everything you did for my father-in-law, from one nurse to another. Lauren's bedside manner with my husband helped put both of us at ease and helped him calm down and understand what was going on. She has such a big heart, and we can both tell how much she truly cares. She came running down the hall when my father-in-law was crashing on them- she immediately called for help, knew exactly what she was doing, and again truly cared so much. You could just see it on her face and in her calm demeanor, her determination to save my father-in-law. The day before he went downhill, it was so nice to see him laughing with Lauren and her encouraging him through each baby step.
