I would like to nominate Lauren for a DAISY Award in recognition of the exceptional compassion, dedication, and excellence she demonstrates every day in patient care.
As I transition into a new position in Adult Rheumatology, I have had the privilege of shadowing Lauren and learning from her firsthand. Throughout this experience, she has consistently impressed me with her patience, knowledge, and genuine commitment to her patients. She takes the time to listen, educate, and advocate for each patient, ensuring they receive the care, resources, and support they need. She never treats patients as just a diagnosis; she cares about them as individuals and goes above and beyond to make a positive difference in their lives.
Lauren's impact extends far beyond the clinic. This year alone, she has helped more than 15 children receive wishes through the Make-A-Wish Foundation. Her dedication to helping children experience hope, joy, and unforgettable moments during difficult times speaks volumes about her character and compassion. She continually seeks ways to improve the lives of her patients and their families, both medically and personally.
