I met Lauren the night I was admitted for my induction. Earlier in the day I felt my baby flip and informed the nurse and the doctor when they examined me. The doctor assured me that the baby was head down and was going to proceed with the induction. I questioned that decision and when the nurse saw my face, she could tell I was concerned, and she asked if I wanted her to get the senior resident to check me. When that resident checked me, she said the baby is breech and I would need a C-section. I was so pleased that Lauren was able to recognize a questionable decision and not be afraid to advocate for my health and the health of my unborn baby.
