Our grandsons were in a really bad car accident, ages 2 and 5. The 5-year-old was in the PICU for several weeks. Lauren helped us through the worst time of our lives. She was so caring and attentive, not to mention, very protective of our grandson. She is one of the best nurses I have ever met. I didn’t know this award was available, or I would’ve done this a long time ago. I really don’t know how we would’ve made it without her. I have stayed in touch with her ever since and send her pics of our boys. She was a God-send for us and especially for our sons and grandsons. I would come through those double doors, and she would say, “Hello, N.” She didn’t even know my actual name till months later. She just knew I was those babies’ “ N”.
