My father suffered a severe stroke and was admitted to St. Lukes on Ostrum street for surgery. While in the Intensive Care Unit, Lauren Yeaw has shown our father exceptional care and attention to his every need as well as every concern of my mother’s, who has been watching over him. Lauren has been so kind and caring, and perfectly patient with my immediate and extended family. She is the epitome of an exceptional nurse, with a gentle demeanor under any circumstance. She even stopped in after her shift ended on Christmas Eve to ensure that my father’s new sedative/dosage was agreeing with him. This is a really scary process, and while we cannot always be by his bedside, we feel safe with leaving the charge of his care in Lauren’s hands. My family and I are incredibly grateful to have her on my father’s care team.
