My wife was admitted to the neurology floor with a possible stroke. An MRI was performed and it was determined that she had a small tumor and was treated accordingly. However, she began to run a fever and her white cell count was elevated. Each day she continued to get worse. Lauretha Thompson was her nurse at that time and became very concerned. She took it upon herself to call Dr.F and share her concerns. Dr.F moved my wife to ICU and ordered a second MRI, and it was determined that she had a brain infection. Treatment was started immediately. My wife has shown slow improvement every day after and is now awake and talking. Lauretha, due to her dedication and training, was instrumental in the improvement we now enjoy.
