Laurie Ann takes care of her team! My mother was dying of cancer, and I stayed at her bedside 24/7. I really needed my clothes washed. Laurie Ann offered to wash them. I told her only if she was back the next day because I did not want her to make an extra trip if she was off work. Laurie Ann not only washed my clothes but brought me snacks and other goodies. She came to the hospital on her own time to do this for me when she was off. I cannot tell you how much that meant to me. Her thoughtfulness and consideration for others are unmatched.

She is not only my assistant nurse manager but the most caring person I know. Laurie Ann ensures each new nurse feels welcomed and a part of our team. There have been countless situations with patients and families where she has calmed people down and listened to their concerns. We had a family member get very angry over the institution's COVID visitation policies. She was able to talk to the family and work out a satisfying situation for the family and the policies. She rounds on all the patients and makes sure their care is exceptional.
