Laurie showed professionalism beyond expectation in providing me excellent nursing care throughout my hospital stay. As I was being discharged, she took the time to provide my wife and me a full explanation of my test results and to answer all the questions we had.
However, she truly proved herself to be a "role model" as I heard her explain to my fellow patient in the next bed how his "pain management" treatment was being implemented and what his role and the hospital's role would be in correcting the issue. Laurie handled this complicated situation in a caring way that showed her leadership and extensive communication skills.
