Laurie joined the Vascular Surgery clinic about 2 years ago, from the Return to Nursing Program. She had been in the business world for about 15 years and was not fulfilled. Laurie has been a fantastic addition to our department. She is about the kindest, most caring and most warm-hearted person you will ever meet. Always greeting staff and patients with a smile, she embodies what a nurse should be. The patients ask for her by name and lament if she happens to not be working. She is always kind and reassuring to the patients. Laurie is always willing to come in early or stay late to assist with the clinic and coworkers. She is always cooperative with all of her colleagues and strives to improve herself. She is well-loved by our patients and our department. If I was sick, I would want her to be my nurse.
